My friends of a day were impressed you know and I can tell you they did appreciate the homely atmosphere, the wonderful smells , the 3 leg of lambs, the fresh mint sauce I invented to go with it, the al dente asparagus, the very green beans, the roasted potatoes , the huge green salads with red cherry tomatoes and orange capsicums. As they came with cheese and cranberry jam, with cakes and cookies, and cherries and chocolate and of course plenty wine I can say we had a feast from 8 to 11pm when some of us wanted to go to the midnight mass . Unhappily it were too late and it was not even possible to enter the Cathedral. But the sound of the bells ringing was enchanting enough.
