Beautiful Hoi An

Renting a motorbike is Vietnam when you are a westerner is not recommanded , in fact it is fobidden by the french Anbassy as the insurance wouldn't work in case of Problem . Nevertheless jean Michel was brave anough to rent one to take me to the beach some 3 miles east of the beautiful town of Hoi An . So we swam , we had lunch by the sea followed by a pinapple prepared for us on the beach for digestion , before rambling in the very old city of Hoi An . One of the busiest South east asia's port in the 16th century when it was settled by Japonese and Chinese merchants . To day the micture of those 2 architectures can be admired as many chinese house have been restored and there is still a famous Japonese covered bridge , a jewel in the city . Many shops are still used as they have been for centuries . The town has been named by Unesco as an heritage centre as it is a real splendour, a spot not to be missed when In Vietnam .
