The Royal Palace is lived in by the actual king and we can only visit the gardens and the Silver Pagoda. The pagoda’s floor is made of 5000 silver slates ( 1 kilo each ) It has been preserved by the Khmers rouges but looted under Pol Pot and only 40% of the treasures remain , still enough to measure the richness of the civilisation and the quality of the craftsmen.Along the enclosing walls we can admire a colossal fresco reporting the epic poem Ramayana .
