Cambodia. The “ experiment “ is over . Peace has come at last to this beautiful country and here I am now as if the 3 decades of civil war were erased. No more Kmer Rouge guerilleros to terrorise the beautiful patient people . No more atrocities all over the quiet rice fields , no traces of blood baths , no more stoical boat people, no more starving to death …The country bordered by Thailand( west), Laos (north) , Vietnam (east) is open again to the world to share its wonders. And as soon I got into Phnom Penh I felt that it wouldn’t be only in Angkor or Siem Reap, along the 486 kms of its Mekong, on the tops of its hills or on its sandy beaches that I will find them but mainly in the Cambodian’s hearts .
