Jean Michel has 2 friends in Siem Reap.Two teachers of course. The first one we met, Net, looks so young that I took his grand children for his own children. With his wife he is taking care of 4 of them to make sure they will receive the very best possible education. Their parents living in the country couldn’t have them in a bilingual school as they are .On the Saturday we went with our new friend Marie, Net and his wife to a restaurant they knew. They told us as well about their unbelievable life under the communist Maoist regime, so unbelievable in fact that most of the Cambodian children to day do not even want to believe !
“But why, do they say, Cambodians would kill Cambodians?” Why, could I say, Irish would kill Irish???? -
That is the question, the answer being that as long as we will fight among brothers at home, in our families, we can’t hope to have global peace
