At the French Cultural Centre which is by our Hostel we found a lovely space where to spend our late afternoon. There, are a garden full of trees where to sip in the shade an iced white café while reading a French newspaper, a library , a book store and a cinema . At 7pm every night of the week a French movie is shown and 2 nights of the row we could enjoy to see again 2 new wave movies from the 60th – “Le Mépris” with our national goddess Brigitte Bardot “playing the main part in this J.L Godart’s movie , and “Hiroshima mon Amour” a Robbe Grillet ‘s masterpiece which I liked so much in my teens when I was so certain I would never never never forget anything….

Centre culturel
Nous passons du temps en soirée au Centre Culturel Français proche de notre hôtel , qui en plus d’une bibliothèque fraîche et climatisée, abrite aussi une librairie française et une salle de cinéma où chaque soir à 19h passe gratuitement un film français . Nous venons dès 17h30 dans la cour ombragée sur l’arrière où se tient le « Café » boire un moka glaçé ou un verre de vin bien de chez nous en attendant la séance en lisant les journaux . En deux soirs , rétrospective Nouvelle Vague oblige, nous aurons vu (ou plutôt revu) 2 films : « Le Mépris »de JL Godart avec notre si belle Brigitte Bardot et « Hiroshima mon Amour » de Robbe Grillet , le film fétiche de mes 20 auquel je me réfère encore souvent pour oublier le moins possible .
