Angkor Thom

As you probably know on Angkor there are many khmer temples built between the 9th and the 14th centuries. They once were recovered by the jungle and rediscovered by the Europeans in the 1860. They are now being restored. As the chosen plan for the restoration is to number every stone and to rebuilt the temples following the initial pattern. It is very moving to see all those stones laying there silently and waiting to find back their original place. We will see only the 3 most travelled sites as Jean Michel saw them already 4 times. We will visit Angkor Thom via the south gate, then see the Bayon , visit the Terraces before visiting the Ta Prohm in the morning in order to have a full afternoon in Angkor Vat ! Difficult to put in words the beauty of the work here and I can only wish that many of you can come and see for themselves as long as they are living on this planet.
