Up to the "Hill"

In Nelson I was going to meet a lovely couple I had already met in New Caledonia on the first day of my adventures. Doug and Mary Hill were in Nouméa , the town where they had met 38 years ago, for Doug' sixtiest birthday anniversary. Parents of 5 and both teachers, Dough as well a reknown musician and music teacher and Mary, as well a talented weaver, lead now a language school in Richmond one of the posh Nelson ‘s suburb . So my dream to live for a while in a real kiwi house with local clever people was to be lived once more . After a tour around the beautiful coast, seeing the port of Nelson from Brittania Heights , the Boulders Bank ,formed by currents over thousands of years . Only 4 of those in the world . We saw the WOW , World of Wearable Arts , created in 87 by artist Suzy Montcrieff, a museum showing pieces of cloths made of anything : condoms , rubber, plastic, tin , paper, tin foil, cakes, parts of cars soft drink cans, shell, papier mache , anything at all including food!!!!Here creativity knows no limit . Then we went to Tahuna beach where many people were swimming then to Monaco, a very posh and up market peninsula before reaching home.
