Chez Margarita et Mathias

Dans un très bel immeuble d'Atlanta, un immeuble de 39 étages. Au 11ème, Mathias et sa femme ont acheté un appartement bien conçu. 50 M². Vous vous demanderiez combien ça peut coûter avec une vue pareille en plein centre. Eh bien çà coûte le prix d'un petit studio chez nous. Moins de 150 000 euros. C'est ce qui explique le niveau de vie de ces très jeunes gens, immigrés argentins pour ces deux-ci, qui ont 30 ans et déjà une voiture chacun et un appartement qui se paye facilement. Margarita vient de s'acheter la voiture que la compagnie de sa sœur change chaque année pour ses employés. Une Hundaï-Accent,18580kms, pour 8200$ soit 6173 euros. Évidemment ce serait impensable chez nous. Il paraît que ce n'est jamais un problème d'acheter une voiture aux USA. Du fait que c'est absolument indispensable on en a plutôt deux qu'une par famille. Le prix de l'essence actuellement est de 3$50 le gallon soit 2 euros 60 pour 4 litres. Forcément, cela simplifie la prise du volant.



Lia is going back to Argentina to morrow so to night we had diner at Margarita and Mathias's , mid- town. Once more I was amazed to see such young argentinian people able to afford to buy an appartment in one of the best location you could imagine . This is the view from their balcony . The flat is not big butbig enough ( 50sq²I would say) in an amazing beautiful 39 stories building. They live on the 11th floor . Just ideal . I dare to ask them how much such a beautiful 3 rooms appartment could cost and I was even more amazed when thet spoke about 170000$ . Unconceivable for a parisian as this is what a 20sq² studio costs in Paris . Today Margarita and Mathias bought the car Agustina 's company change every single year against a brand new one for its employees . The car : an Hundaï , Accent, has run less than 20000 kms and she was getting it for 8200$ only . As the gazoline is costing now ' and they find it expensive ! 3$50 for a gallon , sure it is not a budget problem to drive around . )
