Amuri Guesthouse

That is where we are staying. West. Ideal for sunsets! Our hosts, Nga and Maraiti Tom, are so wonderful that you think not only you are part of their family but they are for ever part of yours . They worked in NZ for 35 years before coming back home 2 years ago to restore the run down family home and open a guesthouse. As they have a fruits plantation you are more than welcome to feed yourself with their bananas, pineapples, passions fruits, papayas, mangos and oranges. As he fishes you are invited to share the catch of the day. But this is nothing compared to the love you receive and the laughter they share. Wonderful people they are. Friends of USA, NZ and AUSTRALIA keep this address preciously and as soon as you can run there. They are at the minute buildings 3 wonderful units on a dream beach, that they will offer starting next April at budget’s price. Simply incredible is their heart’s intelligence. You will adore THEM. If you can’t come, what a great surprise gift to offer to your honeymooners! I tell you keep the address!

Call Maraiti at +68231749 or write PoBox 6 Amuri, Aitutaki, Cook Islands or e mail her at amuri_lodges@hotmail.com. With a _ between Amuri ( the name of their village) and lodges .Over there,
happiness is guaranteed.

Maraiti trusted Jean Michel enough to let us use her new red scooter, so we could tour the island and went for lunch, enjoying the warm breeze, to the Samade Resort , then for a drink to the Pacific Resort and in between had a lot of sunbathing and reading and f swimming in the deep green lagoon .
