- this evening view over the lake was taken two days ago from the Glann Road outside Oughterard, looking across towards Cur na Mona.
The boat in the picture, 'Nonanim', belongs to a Bed & Breakfast of the same name at this spot. It specialises in holidays for anglers and walkers. The fishing season has gotten off to a slow start this year with the cold and windy spring, but the Mayfly season will see a huge influx of anglers from around the world into the area in the next few weeks.
