Rainforest

Australia ‘s tropical rainforest are the worlds oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest dating back 100 millions year . Once it would cover the entire Australia . The dinosaurs were roaming around . Still now those forests contain half of australian fern , birds and butterflies species . It became now happily before man can destroy it part of the world heritage since 1988. It was interesting to see the fight for light . The forest contains about 3000 plant species . Among them some 400 very rare ones and 330 seen nowhere else in the world . Moss and ferns carpet the forest floor while vines try to reach the light Underneath the canopy as little as 1% of sunlight reaches the floor which means that the plants which do not adapt to live with very little light have to find a way to break in the canopy attaching themselves from tree to tree leafless to be on the top of the world!. The ferns are very good at it !
