Pas d'alcool en Inde sauf peut être à Goa où il semblait facile de trouver bière et porto . Partout ailleurs de l'eau ( sauf bien sûr dans les hôtels internationaux , que je ne fréquente pas) . Certains Indiens disent que la licence pour vendre de l'alcool est trop onéreuse , d'autres disent que boire de l'alcool ne fait tout simplement pas partie de leurs cultures . Qu'ils soient hindous ou musulmans ils ne boivent pas . Les catholiques , eux , c'est bien connu ont leur vin de messe , mais eux non . Toutefois les touristes par ces fortes chaleurs réclament de la bière le soir au dîner alors depuis peu ils peuvent demander un "special tea" . La police, "bakchichée" fermera les yeux . D'ailleurs sur la table il n'y a que la théière et les 2 tasses et la couleur de la Kingfisher est la même que celle d'un thé léger donc rien à redire !No alchool in South India , excepted in Goa where it was cheap and easy to order a port or a beer. But here in Kerala, beer would be sold only in international hotels or in the very rare bars with a licence . Indians say the license to serve alcool is far too expensive and it may be true . Some others admitt that it is simply not in their culture; Muslims or Hindous do not drink . Catholics have their wine mass they know that but they don't in the other religions so they do not like to serve alchoolic drinks anayway . The tourists , specially by those hot evenings, would enjoy a beeror two . That was a problem ! Until it was solved by special tea . In many restaurants now if you ask for a very cold special tea , they will bring you a big pot of tea filles with kingfisher beer and 2 mugs and honnestly, what could the police say? They got their bakchcich anyway !
