They all seem to like to speak abount the military junta, express their concern and explain how tied up they are with a governement who can from a day to another decide the craziest things for its own welfare. The like to speak with foreigners because they think we may not understand why they don't rebell . But how could they ? The tried on the famous 8-8-88 such an auspicious number ! and that same night 4000 people were dead ! And what about the peaceful monks protest last yezr ? So no they won't offer their lives, loves and blood to those crazy leaders. None ignore the tortures, the interrogations, the killings going on but no one knows how it could end . The army has all the weapons and they have none . They placed such a hope , said the older ones in Aung San who was assasinated in july 47. Happilly he had a daughter in june 45. Many would follow her. She beleived things would change and in fact in 1990 she wins the election with 82% of the seats but so what? The junte simple didn't pass on the power. They simply assigned her to residence, considering she is a danger for the State! . For 20 years , since 88, she has been trying. For 20 years they have been laughing !
Some thinks that one day Buddha will be simply fed up with all of them !
Some more realistic realise if they attrack such violence it means that there is still some violence in them too if not the law of attraction would not function They discribe themselves as patient, a bit passive maybe but compassionnate and think they do their best by managing their own happinness day by day inside of their own family , achieving inner peace.
I realize listening to them that we are prompt to judge. As Granny Emily would say "Never judge me before having walked at least a mile in my shoes"
