Cape Tribulation

We could say it was not much to see in Cape tribulation You could see only a beach embracing a rain forest !!!!And that natural joining of the 2 greatest assets, forest and reef , in itself is stunning But you could see as well the untouched beauty of it all You could look at the unspoiled place as it was thousands years ago and realise it is a paradise for nature’s lovers, the real end of the road ! On our way we did experience the real i life force of the rain forest.. Ann said she wouldn’t like to be there by herself. It was misty, mystical and magical and at the same time quite intense, almost dramatic, Imagine old forest having survived 130 millions of climate’s changes looking over you when you drive carefull your little Hiundai Gets on the windy road. We saw beautiful beaches along the way and the we did reach the river. We took one of the last ferry remaining in Australia .L It took us only 5 minutes to cross the Daintree River infested with crocodiles bur we didn’t spot any .Then we take the sealed road coiling beneath a canapé of beautiful trees until we a big stream flooding the road . We thought our car was a bit light and wouldn’t dare to cross it thinking you could simply be washed away by the flow ! Many people were as anxious and turned back as we finally did but I was anxious to get to the end of the road so we decide to hitch! Here you can see us by the flood trying to get a lift . it was not long before a young couple took pity on those 2 ladies on the road and we enter their powerful and pass the flow !!!!We saw the beach, had a stroll.
Ben and Aysha , in their late twenties , just married , very well travelled , both journalists from Sydney were excellent company , young , frank , happy and free and I did feel I knew them for ages ! I hope we will manage to see them back once in Ireland and through this blog we thank them again for such a lovely lift and for their generosity.
