In Un's village

Of course we were Martians over here and for growns up as for children it was an adventure to say "Hello" and to hold our hands . We saw the field where Un has planted arachids seeds to make sure he and his family would earn some 120$ more this year . We went by the monastery, entered in the temple built in the 80th by the village's people themselves as Pol Pot had distroyed any temple or pagoda around . The walls and the roof were covered by a beautiful fresco about the Buddha's Life We saw the place where the massive executions were performed by the Pol Pot's troups . A group of old nouns were praying around there with the young monks to free the spirits . We went down the main road shaking hands , smiling, taking pictures while the music was starting to operate for 3 days or at least 3 nights !
We had a diner in the dark before trying to sleep at 8pm on the bamboo floor which was not that an easy try due to the couac couac of the ducks, the disco in the distance and the french radio that Un listens to, everynight between midnight and 2 am! to make sure his french remains fluent until we will be back !
Our choice was to leave early norning to enjoy empty Phnom Penh.
