This Sunday was a special Sunday as some one had just been buried the previous day. You can see how much they decorate the grave around here. They will keep it like this for a year. When somebody dies here the all family clan stick together completely for the 5 first days , not leaving the house , not even to come to church and goes on sharing food together for 25 more days . Everyone is bringing fish, chicken , pork or veal and it is all cooked by the close family on the spot where the person was living and served with yams and rice. You see in the french topic, the yams drying by the houses ready to be put in the ground fairly soon now to be reaped again by January .I was installed with the notabilities on a long table of 12. Some french speakers always delighted to speak with someone from the real land , others speaking english who want make me beleive, due to my Connemara accent I suppose , that I am Australian !!!!
