Leaving Kep
We wouldn’t have miss the bus this Wednesday morning if the boat wouldn’t have stopped in the middle of the bay but we were still at sea when we saw the 2 morning busses pass by !!!!
Too bad! That meant that we had a full morning to spend in Kep, waiting for the 1pm bus for Phnom Penh.
Jean Michel is walking. I am writing. The feeling is good. The sea is right there soft and quiet and blue. Kep sur Mer was a great resort once, built in 1908 by the French for welcoming the French colony by the sea. Beautiful villas were erected but to day after the civil war they are all ruins , even if we hear that the French and Russia speculators have bought many of them back as the town will be once rebuilt to become again a expensive and posh resort ! It is I must say a beautiful location.
The 1pm’s bus bring us back to Phnom Penh just in time for us to see one more free French movie. “ Pas sur la bouche” d’Alain Resnais before dining at” Mama” our favourite restaurant in our street . To morrow Thursday, the 10th, we will leave again to go south east to meet more lovely Cambodians !
