A la montagne

Le dimanche visite à la maison de la belle famille .Rencontre de Anh, la jolie petite fille de 4 mois et demi et de sa maman, Thô, qui ne parlant pas français avait mis beaucoup de talent à nous manifester son amitié en cuisinant pour les 4 mousquetaires que nous étions, un repas pantagruélique. Anh a à un mois près l'âge d'Anaïs la petite fille de Jean Michel aussi nous avons déjà évoqué leur rencontre ! Retour en ville non sans avoir visité le terrain où s’élèvera bientôt la maison du nouveau chef de famille . Un régal toute cette promenade en lisière de bois, au ras des rizières , en petite altitude et inoubliable bien sûr l’accueil qui du premier au dernier dîner a été si chaleureux . Merci à nos deux intrépides motards pour leur dévouement à temps quasi complet.
Cuong nous rencontrait encore à 5 h ce matin dimanche de Pâques pour discuter avec nous le prix du mini bus qui en 8 heures allait nous mener avec d’autres sardines et à toute blinde vers la grande station balnéaire de Nha Trang.

Saturday, we rode up to the mountain to meet Cuong's pretty wife, Thô, and adorable daughter Anh , 4 months and a half : as you can see a real doll. We were received by the family in law as VIP and the lunch made for the 4 of us would have fed 8! We intensely enjoyed to see the rice fields , the forest, the countryside, the buffalos and to share for 3 hours the life of a local family . On our way back to town , Cuong showed us the land, 6 ks from the college where he works , where soon he will be building his new family house . 50 square meters ( considered average for a family of 4) on 400 square meters ground . Cost around 100 millions dongs including the land ( 7500 dollars /6000 euros)That is what a teacher can afford to borrow in Vietnam . His monthly pay beeing 150 euros and his mortgage beeing only for 4 to 5 years it means lots of saving. But nothing will be too much to achieve such a dream for a vietnamese family : having the security of your own roof over the dearest heads. After getting a motorbike, getting married, fathering a child, buying land and buildig a shelter is the dream plan .That evening, We had to part with lovely Nimh but faitfhul Cuong was with us the next morning at 5 am to see us off in a minivan which was going to drive us fearcely to see the huge Nha Trang beach , the La Baule of Asia !
