The Great Buddha

The statue was made in 1252.
Originally it was gilded and enclosed in a large temple but tje great temple of the Buddha was destroyed by a tyohoon and a tidal wave in 1395 and he appeared sitting in the open air as he is now !
he weight about 274.428 pounds
is 37 feet hight
his mouth si 2,8 feet, his ear 6,2 , his eye 3,3 his face 7,7
it is a masterpiece of proportion .
the statue breeze the compassionate soul it embodied and I had a great warm feeling to sat and there at his glorious feet so "human " he looks.
