To Karunda

Between Cairns and Port Douglas we did stop to the reknown " skytrain" to embark in a cable car which for 6kms 500 allows you to travel at a lovely pace up to the village of Kurunda, a pittororesque andtouristic destination full of shops cafés and art galleries with some remarkable aborigene artifacts and extraordinary trees. We could have been in Asia or in Guyana It was quite dfferent of the rest of Australia . In the little wooden church I notice a stain glass on St Patrick on one side and St Bridget on the other side . This surely has to do with the irish missionaries converting the rainforest's tribes.
