Au restaurant

Comme il avait choisi le meilleur restaurant non seulement de la ville mais de la région , nous nous sommes retrouvés, sans réservation devant une porte close , une grande ardoise annonçant que tout était complet puisque justement 'Cook’n with Gas' avait été élu meilleur restaurant du Canterbury ! Pas courageuse, j’ai poussé Jean Mi a tenté de séduire la serveuse avec son accent Vallée de la Loire et il a réussi à nous réserver une table pour 21h.
Nous irions, en attendant, passer une heure dans un vieux pub anglais, une attente que nous n’avons pas regrettée car le dîner d’adieux était savoureux et le vin excellent.
.Merci Jean Mi pour une EXCELLENTE soirée. Une adresse à ne pas oublier si vous passiez par là.

Of course when we got there without reservation we found a closed door with a huge note : Full . We are fully booked as we have been nominated the best restaurant not only in Christchurch but in Canterbury “I was not daring to anyway push the door but pushed Jean Michel to do so and to explain with his cute French accent and his restricted vocabulary to beg them to have us anyway as he was departing for Paris the next day and it was in one and only opportunity ! It worked and they book us for an hour later. An hour we spend in an old English pub next door not far from a river and it was Worthing it as the dinner was spendifiscent , the wine delicious and the evening highly enjoyable.
