Since the independence in 65 the Republic managed despised of all the problems they had there to become one of the richest Republic in the world. The Country island is so tiny that an Australian farmer in the bus told us his farm was far bigger than Singapore, 584,8Kms² only ! And that includes all the ground they reclaim from the sea which explains why the “ Sea Hotel “is now along a central avenue and not anymore on the beach . Amazing ! Such a great mixture of old and new .
